The Bjorn Socialist Republic (Swedish: BjornSocialistiska Republiken) is an absurdist micronation created by Oskar Augustsson.
Its tongue-in-cheek territorial pretensions encompass a boulder described as "look[ing] like a tractor", situated adjacent to the Bos Islands, in Lake Immeln, Skåne, Sweden.[1]
Bjorn came to public attention in 2007 when a Swedish court declined to recognise the legal validity of a marriage registered by the micronation, on the grounds that the country that issued the marriage license did not exist.[2]
