The Confederacy of Tubbyville was a shortlived micronation in the US state of Tennessee during the 1960s.

It was created by three schoolboys, and achieved local notoriety when the trio were questioned by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after writing to US President Lyndon Johnson with a request that Tubbyville be declared independent under the presidency of Alabama Governor George Wallace, and awarded one billion US dollars.

According to a report in the 11 May 1966 edition of The Tuscaloosa News, the un-named 13 year-old letter-writers were students at Sewanee Elementary School;[1] Sewanee is situated approximately 95 kilometres northwest of Chatanooga.

Tubbyville was apparently named for a local tavern known as Tubby's. As at April 2011, an internet search shows that a business identified as Tubby's Real Burgers is situated at 424 Cherokee Boulevarde, Chattanooga.[2], although it is unclear if this establishment was the inspiration for the name of the micronation.
