Lomwiki

Lomwiki (short for List of Micronations Wiki) is a free, specialist online wiki-based encyclopaedia about micronations - self-declared, ephemeral, unrecognised statelike entities.

It was created by George Cruickshank and Kieran Bennett, and was launched on 2 February 2010 as part of the List of Micronations information portal.

It supplanted an earlier List of Micronations wiki-based encyclopaedia, Micro Wiki, which is in the process of being phased out.

Lomwiki is intended to serve as a focus for objective research about, and analysis of micronations - a minor but recurrent historical and sociological phenomenon arising largely from within western-style liberal democracies, from the early 19th century through to the present day; Lomwiki is intended to become the primary, credible, authoritative, up-to-date reference source on this subject.

Pursuant to that goal, Lomwiki houses a growing central electronic repository of documentary, photographic, audio, video and other independently verifiable historical data about micronations, their creators, their activities, their symbols and artifacts, and the wider response to them.
