The Peoples Republic of Podjistan is a micronation in Northern Ireland. Its territorial pretensions encompass two private residences and their surrounding estate in Banbridge, County Down.
It was created on 1 June 2010 by Simon Stewart (born 3 March, 1975), as a personal response to the contemporary partisan social and political situation in Northern Ireland. The membership of Podjistan is comprised of the Stewart family and several of their associates. The micronation's putative territories consist of adjacent properties which have been owned by the Stewarts since 2000.
