The Republic of Talossa or Talossan Republic (Talossan: Repúblicâ da Talossa) is a micronational heir to Robert Ben Madison's original creation of December, 1979. The Republic seceded from the Kingdom of Talossa in a schism that involved several provinces and many citizens of the Kingdom. The disgruntled citizens involved in the schism declared the Republic to be an independent entity on 1 June 2004, and worked to found a free and democratic state.
